lyrics
BABY COME HOME
Brown eyes, give me your time my love, everything that I want and more
Hold my hand and I can’t despair, you’re my love, you’re my only way
I know where I am going to, and I know where it is I’ve been
All I need is the air we breathe, even that can come at a cost
Please don’t you grieve for me, if anything you have set me free
Oh baby come home
Please don’t you grieve for me, if anything you have set me free
Oh baby come home
Question everything that you know, take it back to the very start
Don’t you know that we can’t be found, don’t you know that we won’t be found
From the start, yeah your life it was hard, but you rose to the challenge shone light in the dark, the brightest of sparks, with the world in your mind’s eye, I know that everything is relative but funny how the time flies, I take a look into the night sky, I see a single star and I how it shines bright, our existence but a flicker in the timeline, subtle messages etched in everything that I write, it's a fine life we're living in, I keep my head above water in this high tide I'm swimming in, I had a dream, now my main goals fulfilling it, got to focus on my daughter and her mother and the life I'm giving them, it could have been so different, life trickling through my fingertips, a lovely gift with a bitter twist, you could've slipped but you kept a grip, I remember staying awake at night and I used to think....
Please don’t you grieve for me, if anything you have set me free
Oh baby come home
Please don’t you grieve for me, if anything you have set me free
Oh baby come home

Find a quiet spot, sit down, put on the headphones, and don't do anything else but listen to this album. Symptoms will include shivers, a rush of intense emotions, and the desire to see Kathryn Joseph live. No, YOU'RE weeping into your coffee, transfixed by this beautiful, heartrending music. Burbling beneath the hazy beauty of the debut solo record from Lush co-founder Emma Anderson is razor-sharp wit and a heart full of rage. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 5, 2023

A group that I know only too well, I’ve been with them for nearly 30 years; from their Glaswegian basement origins to their current status as Arena band. My enthusiasm for their later output may have tempered somewhat as the mighty ‘Gwai evolved their sound to avoid pigeonholing, but there is nothing better than when they lay waste to a venue via the sheer euphoria of ‘Helicon 1’. They’re still devastating live and, after all those years, THE authority in Instrumental Rock music. Logen Ninefingers
